The Landscape Foreman performs a vital role in our company and plays a major part in determining the success of our projects. The Landscape foremen might be responsible for the construction of new outdoor areas like walkways and patios. Tasks may include: maintaining existing grounds, irrigating, lawn mowing, etc. This job requires some administrative duties and office work.

Required certifications and training (or willingness to obtain)

  • Two or four-year degree in Landscape Design, Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Services, or related fields.
  • MDA Pesticide Applicators License.
  • NCMA SRW certified and ICPI Paver certification.
  • One of the following certifications:
    • MNLA Certified Landscape Professional
    • PLANET Landscape Industry Certified Technician-Exterior

Duties and Responsibilities:

This position is for an individual with at least 5 years of landscape experience as a crew leader. Must have a strong background in both hardscape and softscape installation.  

  • Ability to speak English and Spanish (Preferred).
  • Operate concrete saws, track machines and skid loaders safely and efficiently
  • Ability to read landscape designs and install all materials according to each custom design specifications.
  • Irrigation experience (Preferred).
  • Ensure job site and crew safety at all times.
  • Strong background in both hardscape and softscape installation.
  • Familiarity with the metro area (Preferred).
  • Ensure equipment and company trucks are working properly.
  • Able to drive any company vehicles assigned. (skid steer, freight liner, etc.)
  • Perform routine machine and truck maintenance, as needed, etc.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of materials, etc.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact with clients and project managers.
  • Able to foresee and resolve potential problems.
  • Provide a safe and clean work environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed and some Saturdays required.
  • Part of the snow team during the off season.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
  • Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks.
  • Safety awareness and being aware of your surroundings.
  • Strong work ethic and desire to learn and grow.
  • Experience working with all aspects of landscaping.
  • Time management skills.
  • Comply with all company policies and regulations
  • Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold
